I am delighted to welcome you to Merlin School. Choosing a school for your child at the age of three or four is a significant decision and an exciting opportunity to inspire a young learner and prepare them for the next stage of their education. At Merlin, we specialise in these precious early years, providing a warm, nurturing, and homely environment that fosters confidence, curiosity, and resilience, alongside academic excellence.

The classrooms and corridors at Merlin are alive with happy learners working together and embracing challenges. Our children are supported, challenged, and inspired in an environment rich with opportunities and experiences. We pride ourselves on our personalised and practical approach to teaching, where each child is seen and valued as an individual. Small class sizes and a high adult-to-child ratio ensure that every learner makes excellent progress while developing a strong sense of kindness, respect, and independence.

At Merlin, the sense of teamwork is as strong among staff as it is between children. We work closely in partnership with families, supporting each one as they embark on their child’s educational journey. Choosing the best-fit next school after Merlin need not be daunting – each child is fully prepared and every family is guided and supported, helping to identify the environment in which their child will thrive. The children move on with confidence, enthusiasm, and a lifelong love of learning.

Merlin is a truly magical place, where curiosity and wonder abound, and each child’s talents are celebrated. I warmly invite you to visit and experience the unique atmosphere of Merlin for yourself.
I look forward to welcoming you to our school.

A Message from the Principal

Having been involved in education since the 1990s, a great deal has changed during that time. Technology, and the impact that it has made on the world of work, has meant that schools and parents have had to re-think their ideas about the kinds of skills that children need to thrive in the future. Creativity, invention, collaboration, risk management and problem-solving are more important than ever in ensuring our children are being well prepared for their future.

I am delighted to be supporting the Merlin School with its onward journey, where pupils are given an outstanding education to discover and develop their talents and interests from such a young age.
